TextMate 1.5 is out, and it kicks Royal Ass. The new XML input mode is one of those things that you never even considered, but which becomes totally indispensable once you wrap your head around it. Basically, you can set a command to take as input an XML tree with all of your document's text wrapped in scope tags. In other words, you can re-use TextMate's syntax parser and manipulate the tree however you'd like. A post from the Dilbert blog just popped up in my referrers list a week ago. Curious, I checked it out and found a comment from one Ben Jackson linking to this site. Funny thing is, I didn't write it. It wasn't anything defamatory or slanderous. It probably won't reflect poorly on me if someone, say a client, stumbles across it. But I still feel a cold, paranoid shiver run down my spine when I think about how easy it is to "impersonate" someone else in a public discussion.

Just got back from a beautiful, cloudless day on the beach and found this amazing video of a young Arnold Schwartzenegger doing up Carnaval in Rio. Seeing Arnold gyrate his hips as he attempts to dance the Samba with three mulattas, as well as his nonstop commentary on his preference for the A over the T, was absolutely priceless. There are also some great old-school 80's shots of Ipanema and Copacabana, as well as the requisite stock footage of half-naked women.
